TI KWAN YIN (black oolong) - Produced in the Fujian Province of China, it is also referred to as the "Tea of the Iron Goddess of Mercy." Leaves are richly fermented and roasted to yield a rich floral aroma and rich, full flavor. Color is orange-brown.
TI KWAN YIN BLACK OOLONG "MONKEY PICKED" - This tea is grown at high elevations from the original tekuanyin gardens of Anxi in the Fujian Province of China. It is a tea for serious and experienced tea lovers. It is richly fermented, dark roasted, and incredibly flavorful. After steeping, it has a beautiful amber color similar to that of a fine champagne. "Monkey picked" refers to the rarest form of this tea and makes reference to the time when this tea was grown at such geographically inaccessible heights, that monkeys had to be trained to pick it. World famous tea expert, Roy Fong, developed this particular version of "monkey picked."
