ASSAM - HUNWAL ESTATE (FBOP) 2nd Flush - Near Nagaland, Hunwal Estate is situated on the south side of the Brahmaputra River. The loamy, volcanic soil on which the bushes thrive, infuse the leaves with its excellent characteristics. The orthodox tea leaf produces a very bright and coppery infusion. Flavor is relatively full-bodied and malty. This tea is best experienced on its own, however, it stands up nicely to milk and sugar.

ASSAM - LEOPARD BLEND (OP) - Bordering the countries of China, Burma, and Bangladesh, this tea is cultivated along the banks of the Brahmaputra River in the famous Assam region of India. Considered to be one of the world's largest tea growing regions, Assam is also home to India's largest game reserve. Exotic wildlife such as elephants, leopards, and one-horned rhinos, are only a few of the many creatures that inhabit this valley. In fact, the one-horned rhino is often used as a symbol to designate Assam teas. This blend contains full leaf tea, with long and wiry individual leaves. Leopard blend produces an infusion which is dark red in color, the aroma is rich, and the flavor has a distinct maltiness. It makes a wonderful breakfast tea.

DARJEELING - MIM ESTATE (TGFOP1) 2nd Flush - Nestled in the Himalayan foothills, Mim Estate is located in the Darjeeling region of Northern India. The tea bushes grow at 6800 feet in elevation and the second flush is harvested between the end of May and the end of June. Darjeelings are often referred to as the "champagne" of teas. The liquor is bright and coppery in color. The flavor is mildly astringent and possesses a classic "muscatel" flavor. To fully appreciate its delicate qualities, this tea is best taken alone. Milk and sugar tend to "mask" a Darjeeling's delicate nuances.

ENGLISH BREAKFAST BLEND - A blend of premium Indian and Ceylon black tea leaves.  This tea yields an infusion which is bright and coppery, with good body, characteristic British briskness, and excellent flavor - just what you would expect.

ENGLISH BREAKFAST BLEND DECAF - As above, but without the caffeine.  Tea leaves are decaffeinated using a chemical free carbon dioxide process.

IRISH BREAKFAST BLEND - This tea is similar to English Breakfast Blend, but more robust. The Assam component is more distinct in this blend.

LAPSANG SOUCHONG (OP) - This popular smoked tea hails from the Fujian Province in China. The tea leaves are put into bamboo baskets and smoked over pine or oak fires. This technique was discovered accidentally as tea that was being processed in the usual fashion was exposed to heavy smoke by a fire lit by soldiers trying to keep warm. The heady aroma is pungent and the flavor is very full-bodied and smoky. The thick, glossy black strips produce an infusion with reddish hues. It stands up well to milk and sugar.

LOVER’S LEAP CEYLON (OP) - A medium-bodied, full-leaf Ceylon black tea. Produced in the Nuwara Eliya region of Sri-lanka, Lover’s Leap is considered one of the better gardens on the island. Flavor is lively & astringent. Infusion is bright and coppery.
