Duocolor_High.jpe (51530 bytes)APPEARING SEPT. 22, 2005 - MAGICAL STRINGS Their music centers on the Celtic harp and hammered dulcimer of Philip and Pam Boulding. At times, their music is augmented by violin, cello, pennywhistle, percussion and various instruments from around the world. Over the years their sound has drawn a large and loyal following captivated by a combination of traditional Celtic arrangements, original compositions and subtle world music influences. Their virtuosity and expressive style have been described as "warm, graceful and sonically gorgeous" by the Washington Post. Their music and stories have the effect of holding an audience and opening their hearts to a forgotten world well-veiled by the bustle and trappings of modern life. Philip and Pam are coming down from Olalla, WA for their Oregon and California Fall Tour. Celtic Music Lives On!  Performance starts at 6:00 pm. NO COVER! But suggested donation is $10.
APPEARING SEPT. 30, 2005 - JOE ROSS & THE HOTQUA BAND - Joe is back in town and he's bringing his buddies back to the White Horse for another go at some great bluegrass and Celtic tunes. Show starts at 6pm - NO COVER!

cavejam.gif (18036 bytes)Thanks to everyone who came out to hear some great music at White Horse Coffee. Milestones - this was the first time that the Wicked Tinkers, Culann's Hounds and Amy Bleu performed in Southern Oregon. We hope to have them back. Judging from the great reception they received from the audience, it looks like they will be repeat performers. Thanks, also, to those who joined us at the Douglas County Scottish Society's Highland Celtic Games in Winston this last August. We had one of the best crowd's we've ever had with respect to spirit and goodwill. It was truly an enjoyable event. Please join us next year in 2006.

White Horse by Kristin Lusk Located in the serene and picturesque city of Sutherlin, Oregon, we blend small-batch roasting of premium arabica coffee with fine art. We have a wide variety of regional, estate, and blended coffees. We also have a large selection of gourmet loose-leaf teas and herbal tisanes.

White Horse Coffeehouse We have been roasting coffee since 1999 and opened our coffeehouse in December of 2003. The coffeehouse is a great source of pride for us - it was carefully and artistically designed with our customers' comfort and relaxation at heart. Come in and rest, enjoy your coffee or tea with homemade pastries, soups, and sandwiches, and listen to our ecclectic selection of Celtic music.
CoffeeTea Coffee and Tea are what we are all about. We take a great deal of time and care in selecting which coffees and teas we offer to our customers.  Quality is our focus.

MythTriskSM.gif (2904 bytes)Our Celtic connection permeates throughout our business. It is a heritage that is closely tied to nature, the spirit, and the soul. This sense is shared by many other cultures, especially those occupying lands of coffee and tea cultivation. We find the essence of these cultures to be in harmony with one another, which is why you will see a mixture of art, music and symbolism from these cultures represented at our establishment.

dance[1].jpg (5221 bytes)The Celtic Festival and Highland Games will take place this August 19 - 21, 2005, in Winston, Oregon. The event is conducted by the Douglas County Scottish Society and will feature Scottish Heavy Events Athletics. There will be a free ceilidh (Celtic party & gathering) on Friday night. Musical highlights include the sounds of Molly's Revenge, who were a smash hit at the games last year. Hear the haunting call of the pipes. Cheer the masters of the edged weapons competition, the caber tossers, stone throwers, and Highland Dancers. Visit the fine assortment of vendors of Celtic art, music and curios. Get connected with your clan and discover the huge extended family you have. White Horse Coffee and Tea will also have a booth there. We are also the proud sponsors of Molly's Revenge - the sounds of which you will not want to miss.

For us, every year is the Year of the Horse! Celebrate with Us!
