FEATURED ARTIST - JERRY HOLLAND - One of the finest Celtic fiddlers performing today, Jerry comes by his music honestly. His father was a musical man respectful of tradition  and placed the budding musician directly into a vibrant older culture. From childhood on, a series of fortunate events put young Jerry in the company of many of the greatest Cape Breton musicians of the last generation - -Winston Fitzgerald, Bill Lamey, Angus Chisholm and several other less well-known fiddlers, including his father.  For the past 25 years, life in Cape Breton has surrounded him by people who know and love the music. Digesting those experiences, a mature musician and composer has evolved. Today, his settings of older tunes and his own compositions usually pass the muster with the traditionalists. An emotional performer, his concerts and recordings are always memorable. I met Jerry at the Mastery of Scottish Arts Winter School in Seabeck, Washington. He loves his music, his work and the accomplishments of his students.

There is nothing like wholesome cooking! And don't forget about the flavorful fresh roasted coffee that we roast for you in Sutherlin. Thanks to everyone who comes out to hear great music at White Horse Coffee. Milestones - we brought the Wicked Tinkers, Molly's Revenge, Culann's Hounds and Amy Bleu to Southern Oregon.   Judging from the great reception they received from their audiences, it looks like they will be repeat performers. Join us at the Douglas County Scottish Society's Highland Celtic Games in Winston this August. The people, music, food and Celtic spirit are all great!

Located in the serene and picturesque city of Sutherlin, Oregon, we blend small-batch roasting of premium arabica coffee with fine art. We have a wide variety of regional, estate, and blended coffees. We also have a large selection of gourmet loose-leaf teas and herbal tisanes.

We have been roasting coffee since 1999 and opened our coffeehouse in December of 2003. The coffeehouse is a great source of pride for us - it was carefully and artistically designed with our customers' comfort and relaxation at heart. Come in and rest, enjoy your coffee or tea with homemade pastries, soups, and sandwiches, and listen to our eclectic selection of Celtic music.

Coffee and Tea are what we are all about. We take a great deal of time and care in selecting which coffees and teas we offer to our customers.  Quality is our focus.

Our Celtic connection permeates throughout our business. It is a heritage that is closely tied to nature, the spirit, and the soul. This sense is shared by many other cultures, especially those occupying lands of coffee and tea cultivation. The Celtic Festival and Highland Games will take place August , 2007, in Winston, Oregon. The event is conducted by the Douglas County Scottish Society and will feature Scottish Heavy Events Athletics. There will be a free ceilidh (Celtic party & gathering) on Friday night. Hear the haunting call of the pipes. Cheer the masters of the edged weapons competition, the caber tossers, stone throwers, and Highland Dancers. Visit the fine assortment of vendors of Celtic art, music and curios. Get connected with your clan and discover the huge extended family you have.
